The goal of the art program is to provide students with opportunities to work with a variety of art materials and techniques, which range from drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking, clay work, puppetry, and dramatic play. The visual arts promote a wide range of learning, from a historical and cultural perspective to personal and social awareness.

Using the National Standards for the Fine Arts as a guideline, the art curriculum incorporates interdisciplinary and multicultural projects reinforcing the learning process while experiencing and appreciating the analysis of art and its purpose throughout the world.
