Regularly programmed Extended Day is available to RHSM students in grades one through eight. Students may attend a general program of games and activities, special interest classes, or both. The program is committed to providing continuous, high quality care in a safe, enjoyable atmosphere. Children are provided a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a nutritious snack. The Extended Day Program is headquartered in the Dining Hall on the McCarthey Campus. All Extended Day activities (classes, lessons, etc.) are under the supervision of the Director of the Extended Day Program. Registration
Parents may register their child in advance on a trimester basis for one or more days a week. Single day care is available only for those who turn in the reservation form one day in advance. Registration forms are available below in printable pdf format or in the front office of the main building.

Special classes are offered each trimester. Music lessons are held for the entire year. All students must register in advance as class size and lesson times are limited. Students may join the general program or a special class during the year on a space available basis. Changes in schedule or activities can be made by contacting the director of the Extended Day Program. Examples of special classes include: Kids Care Club, cartooning, clay, cooking, guitar, choir, rock climbing, karate, film making, sports clinics, and many more.

Attendance  
The Extended Day Program is aware of absences through the daily attendance records. The school must be notified in advance if the student will be at school during regular hours, but absent only from registered days in the Extended Day Program. No charges will be assessed if proper notification has been received.

Check-out Policy
To insure the safety of the children and provide us with accurate billing records, each child must be checked out by an authorized adult. In the event someone other than the authorized adult is picking up a student, a written note is required. If you do not check out your child the computer will continue to charge you until 6:00 p.m.

Billing
Parents of students attending the Extended Day Program will be billed once a month with additional fees assessed as appropriate. A late fee of $1.00 per minute period will be charged for students who remain after 6:00 p.m.
