Activities

Specialty instructors engage SummerWorks campers' minds and bodies each morning with a wide variety of classes.

*Arts and Crafts: So much more than just tie-dye. From mask making, to jewelry and clay, campers stretch their creativity with projects in many different mediums.

*Arts and Technology: A SummerWorks favorite! Campers use computers to learn graphic design, enhance and alter digital photographs, and even film and edit short videos.

*Mad Science of Utah: How do crystals form? What makes whales so big? Why do compass needles point north? Through hands-on activities and experiments, campers explore their world, and learn a little something in the process in a format that fosters team work and leadership.

*Cooking: Campers create culinary masterpieces, with an emphasis on nutrition and food safety. Dig in!

Field Trips:

From hiking to roller-skating, to ice-skating to festivals! Our field trips engage campers and allow for supervised exploration and discovery. Campers travel to all field trips on RHSM buses driven by safe, professional bus drivers.

Swimming:

There's no better way to cool off on a summer day than with a dip in the pool. Young campers enjoy weekly water play on campus and trips to waterparks are a SummerWorks tradition!

Senior campers choose which sports they would like to participate in each week.

*Tennis: Game, Set, Match! Campers get an early start on the lifelong sport with games, drills, and individualized instruction for all levels.

Golf: Time to tee it up! Campers will get a chance to learn from the pros at the University of Utah's golf course for a weekly clinic. From putting to hitting the long ball this instructional session will cater to any skill level. Group numbers are limited so secure your spot now. We provide the equipment, the instructor and the course. Campers just need to bring their 'game'!
